Afro pop star Kelly Hansome has taken to Facebook to chide
artistes who are living fake lives above their means, calling on them to fall
back to reality or face the worst that will come later.
He said there is nothing for an artiste in the fake world
especially for those who live by the code, 'Fake it till you make it' and that
it pays to live in the real world where the artiste can live like himself with
nothing to lose in the future.
He went ahead to call on artistes who are running to
luxurious parts of Lagos just to earn people’s respect to quit the act because
it will only be a matter of time before they will realize that they have
nothing and start falling back to the ‘hood’ as losers.
Through his Facebook account, he wrote; “All those fake
artistes who ran 2 lekki 2 live in big houses above their means are running
back 2 the Mainland now. Na now we go know those who are really born 2 do this
because my guy, no be by lekki o. To hell with that 'Fake it till you make it'
crap, wake up to reality. If you are living above your means, you are proud and
you're a thief. Gaskia mana!”
Kelly Hansome in a recent interview said he will be moving
into youth empowerment education and is also working on three books which when
released will help lots of youths in the storms of life.
This advice falls in that direction where he wants to use his
experience to help younger artistes avoid making some of the everyday mistakes
in the entertainment industry.
